President Gino contacted because he is feeling so down with the world that he wasn’t even interested in a photo shoot with sexy models and the B24 /Jeep combination. This is a very bad sign for Gino’s I hope these photos don’t make him feel even worse.

The concept was to photograph the models with the Jeep and B 24 as part of a 40’s theme pin up girl.

 

I brought along a few items of gear as well as the Jeep. The models were mostly”dressed” in skimpy 40’s style costumes and uniforms.

 

After some careful manoeuvring we were able to get the Jeep into a suitable location next to the bomber and the fun began, there were heaps of photographers’ there with all their gismos; lights, funny umbrellas, beepers, lots of electronic gear, and three skinny, white shivering young girls.

 

They tried various poses on the Jeep bonnet and behind the wheel I put the windscreen up and then down, then up and then down. You would not think that there was enough weight in these girls to buckle the bonnet of the Jeep but they did manage it some how

 

These photographers were completely without mercy and had the girls posed on the bonnet, bumper bar, lying on the bonnet standing, draped over the steering wheel.
This was my one and only opportunity to get a female to wear some of the uniform’s that I had bought for my wife who generally refuses to wear them. (Even the nurses’ uniform). So I was helping the photo shoot by suggesting the models try on this gear, helmet, pistol set and side cap, not only did this create excellent historical accuracy but also allowed me to experience certain fantasies that I have had for a long time.

 

Overall the night went quite quickly, I wasn’t bored for a minute and, no I didn’t ask for payment I felt like I should pay them. I felt a bit guilty that I hadn’t asked Ian and Sean Mastin to come along as well, as they live quite close to the B 24. But I felt that Sean was too young for this event.
